Footage Tools is excited to announce we have been awarded the 2026 Abbott Award for Innovation for the C2400 Squeeze Boss by the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT).

Presented annually, the Abbott Award for Innovation honors products and services that demonstrate meaningful advancement in trenchless technology and deliver real-world impact across the industry.

Footage Tools identified a clear gap in existing solutions for isolating large-diameter, heavy wall (such as SDR 7) HDPE pipelines. The C2400 Squeeze Boss was developed as a solution to meet this growing industry need.

The C2400 is now the first engineered squeeze-off solution capable of safely isolating heavy-wall HDPE pipelines up to 24” in live energy and industrial applications.

In the past, projects of this scope using conventional squeeze-off tools required full-line depressurization and extended drainage during repair, maintenance, or construction projects.

The C2400 provides operators with a practical and cost-effective isolation method for maintenance, repair, construction, and emergency response in applications where isolation options were previously limited or unavailable.

The tool also contributes to more sustainable pipeline practices by reducing environmental exposure, lowering emissions, and minimizing overall project footprint compared to traditional large-scale maintenance methods.

Since its first field deployments in 2025, the C2400 has been used across industrial and energy systems throughout the United States, demonstrating its reliability and performance in real-world applications.

The recognition further underscores Footage Tools’ ongoing commitment to developing best-in-class solutions that help operators safely and efficiently maintain critical pipeline infrastructure.
